4 previously unreleased songs from Mike Judge & Old Smoke have been posted on the band’s Myspace page. 2 of the songs (tracks 1 and 3 in the player) were demo tracks for an upcoming record that Tom Capone was assisting in production with. The other 2 (tracks 2 and 4 in the player), in Mike’s words;
“were done at the house of a good friend of mine. Mark Madden recorded us and engineered and also played piano on track 4. He passed away shortly after. He lost his fight with bone cancer and I decided I was done with the band.”.

These songs definitely have much less of a folk influence and a bit more rock influence and sound to them in comparison to the “Sights” EP that was released on Revelation. I would have loved to have heard these (and more) meshed out with full production but I'll take what I can get.
After all, it’s Mike Judge on a microphone — how can you go wrong?
